Her background at NBC5-TV Chicago shaped her commitment to highlighting community-driven stories, a hallmark of Southside Insider. With deep roots in service and leadership, she brings unmatched expertise and dedication to showcasing the positive and vibrant culture of the Southside.
Josh Benson

A Chicago transplant from St. Louis, Josh Benson brings a deep appreciation for the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience that define Chicago’s Southside. With extensive experience working across the area, he’s witnessed firsthand the creativity and drive that fuel local communities. As a skilled web designer, Josh has created responsive, intuitive websites for charter schools, construction companies, and other organizations, ensuring they thrive in the digital landscape. Formerly the Executive Vice President for External Affairs and Diversity at UCAN, he has championed initiatives that bridge cultural and socioeconomic gaps, including $42 million in expenditures for minority and women-owned businesses.
